Series 03
Geometry at the scale of the universe — deep space rendered in violet and void.
Artist statement
This series began from thinking about scale — how the same geometric logic that governs a small painting also describes orbital paths, gravitational lensing, and the concentric structure of nebulae. The deep violet palette moves from near-black at the edges through indigo and purple to the palest lavender at the luminous center, evoking the visual language of astrophotography.
Working in acrylics with the same tape-masked hard-edge technique used throughout the practice, these paintings have a precision that reads as computational — a nod to the systems thinking that informs all of the work. They are intimate in scale but ask to be met with the kind of attention usually reserved for the very large or the very distant.
